Brandon T. Jackson is a American comedian, rapper, actor, and writer best known for starring in films such as Roll Bounce, Tropic Thunder, Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief, and Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son. He was one of the recurring cast members in Season 4 of the improv comedy show Wild 'N Out on MTV.





Biography[]

After graduating from high school, Jackson moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in stand up comedy as he started performing at The Laugh Factory. In 2006, he starred as "Junior" in the comedy-drama film Roll Bounce which earned him the 2006 Black Reel Award for "Best Breakthrough Performance". Later that year, he hosted one episode of his show "The Brandon T. Jackson Show" which aired on The N but didn't continue after the first episode aired. In 2007, he became a recurring cast member on Season 4 of the improv comedy show Wild 'N Out before it would go on it's hiatus. In 2008, Jackson starred alongside Ben Stiller, Robert Downey, Jr., and Jack Black in the action comedy film Tropic Thunder which earned him a nomination for "Best Supporting Actor" at the 2008 Black Reel Awards. In 2010, Jackson starred as "Grover" in the fantasy film Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief which earned him a nomination for "Best Supporting Actor" at the 2010 Black Reel Awards. Jackson then starred as "Trent Pierce/Charmaine" in Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son in 2011, replacing actor Jascha Washington. In 2013, Jackson played as the son of "Axel Foley" in a unaired pilot of Beverly Hills Cop for CBS.
